Sparks And Daughters - founded by mother-daughter duo Deborah and Verity Sparks - specialises in making gifts inspired by their own experiences for delightful or difficult moments to big or small milestones. With a passion for arts, crafts and creativity balanced with a day job in the tax office, Deborah started the business with the support of daughter Verity in their attic.
A decade later the pair still agree that one of the best parts of their job is reading the funny, sometimes confusing and generally heart-warming messages that customers send in for personalised products.
Verity says: 'I was back at work just two weeks after Tilly was born so I can honestly say that I have been juggling being a mum and running a business as soon as she arrived.
That doesn't mean it came naturally though - at first it was tough both physically and emotionally. Between myself, Mum and my husband Lex, we work around each other to take care of Tilly at home, which allows us to all spend quality time with her during the week.'
Deborah says: 'I know how hard it can be to be a new mum, a working mum and even a mum running a business, so it's been really important to me to support Verity through everything we've experienced together since she herself became a mother. I'm thankful that because we are a family business we have been able to really pull together during the challenging times we faced when Verity first returned to work.
Now that Tilly is older and we share some of the childcare, I get to spend time with her at my home and really enjoy being a nanna, whilst enabling Verity to give her best to the business and our team.'
Deborah's top Mother's Day pick is the personalised 'You're doing a great job' linen scarf, £30.

Passionate about styling and with a love for all things handmade, Naomi kick-started her business, Styled by Naomi, during her maternity leave when her son Arlo was just 3 weeks old. Keen on monochrome with a Scandi twist, Naomi designs and hand-paints timeless, unique heirlooms for babies, children and the home.
This one-woman's mission was to have a business that allowed her the flexibility of being a mum, whilst also hand-making beautiful products. The last year has seen Naomi juggle the day to day running of her business alongside gruelling IVF treatment and now, pregnant with twin girls, Naomi is so excited to have a business she can run around being a mum of three.
Naomi says, 'My top pick would be my unicorn pear, £32, because every mum is magical and amazing just like unicorns. A perfect reminder for mums everywhere that they are simply fabulous.'
Mother and baby matching PJ set

New mum and founder of PJ Mamma, Rebecca, started making and selling organic cotton pyjamas online during her maternity leave, with the idea that she would leave her travel-heavy job to start her own business and allow her to be around for all the key moments in her son's life.
Now juggling two little ones with a full time business, what started out as a range of kids pyjamas has since expanded to include maternity, ladies, mens and family pyjama sets and even has the likes of Anne Hathaway and the royal family as customers!
Rebecca says: 'What Mama wouldn’t love the gift of sleep - an excuse for some extra PJs time, a little lie in or a luxury lunchtime nap- total bliss! Being a mum of a 6 month old and 4 year old, I can’t think of a better treat than sleep, in new PJs! My older son loves it when we twin and it makes those cosy PJ days even more special.'
Rebecca's top pick is the gorgeous Mother's Day gift for new mum matching heart pyjama set, £60.
Milk bottle baby feeder

Mum of two and fashion enthusiast Natalie set up her business, Fred & Noah, hand-making children's clothing at the end of her maternity leave, thanks to the painful reality of expensive childcare.
After six months of juggling parenting and working full time, Natalie and her husband Dan quit their careers and focused on expanding the business - creating each product by hand between them, they make up to 70 pairs of luxury leggings a day.
Natalie says: 'I get to spend more time with my kids than probably most working mums because I work at home - the downside to that is that I never leave work. The boys love me being at home and on busy days when work still has to be completed after school the boys will join me in the studio with the biscuit tin and we put cartoons on whilst Mum and Dad work!'
Natalie says: 'When a baby starts teething it’s an incredibly stressful time for both baby and Mum! Our teether, £10, is designed to stimulate and ease the pain from sore gums - featuring our baby sized carry handle it also promotes grip and our fun design means Mum can pop the kettle on and have a brew whilst baby enjoys their milk bottle'
